I am starting to see my system struggle to keep up with some of my most often played games (WoW, Total War Warhammer 2, RDR2) and general system slugishness. I want to buy myself a key upgrade for the holidays but I am a potato when it comes to these things. Looking for some advice on where my best upgrade lies. Currently thinking about upgrading my HDD to a 2tb Firecuda SSHD as I am often seeing 100% disc usage and it seems to correlate with my piss performance.

CPU is probably the main issue anymore.

A little over budget, but you just missed all of the black friday deals. Keep in mind, this hardware can be reused in your next build. Very solid...
SSHDD are not much better than normal hard drives. I would buy a small ssd to throw your OS on and then use your hard drive as extra storage if you need.

Your FX9370 is a very old and poor performing CPU. You would need to upgrade ram and mobo to upgrade CPU tho.

What GPU do you have?

What is your budget for an upgrade.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 960.

Would like to keep budget for upgrade under $200 so a major throwdown isn't in the cards. Next year I might build a whole new system but can't afford that atm.

I am also liquid cooling CPU with Hydro i100 I think was the model name so I haven't noticed that being a major issue. Appreciate the advice, what do you recommend as a band-aid till I can afford a new system from ground up?

Could have gotten an R5 1600 for $85 and a mobo for $10 less
