Hello everyone, I'm new around here, but I've been following these forums for quite some time, but let's get straight to the point.

I have an "old" i5 3330 in my rig, but I need to upgrade it, because I've been playing some CPU-intensive games, like Simulators, etc.

I'd like some suggestions for an upgrade, but near my processor price and LGA 1155 only, because I can't upgrade my motherboard right now.

I also did some research and I found out that the i5-3570k is a good option but I'd like to know more.

PS: I'm from Brazil so a CPU is quite expensive down here.

Edit 1:
My current specs:
CPU: i5-3330 @ 3GHz
GPU: PNY GTX 960 2GB
RAM: 2x4GB 1066Mhz
Motherboard: H61M-A/BR

If you change boards, I would recommend moving to LGA 1151, not 1150. 1151 is current-gen and will receive 2 more generations of CPUs that fit it, whereas 1150 is already finished and received its last new CPU design in 2015. Skylake CPUs (1151) are faster per clock and draw less power. 1151 boards have newer connectivity options due to newer chipsets. The only catch is, you'd need to move to DDR4, but the cost should be close to zero if you throw up your old RAM on eBay.

Some reasonable upgrades:
i7 3770 - drops into your current board
i5 6500/6600 - inexpensive 1151 CPU that will be a modest upgrade
i5 6600K - requires a more expensive Z170 board and aftermarket cooler, but can overclock and show a larger improvement
i7 6700 - might...
You're probably not going to see too much of an improvement with any of the available i5 CPUs. Based on what is compatible with your motherboard (http://www.asus.com/supportonly/H61M-ABR/HelpDesk_CPU/), your current CPU is a 2nd-tier CPU (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html), right behind the Haswell & Skylake chips in performance. At best, you'd maybe see a 10% or so increase if you're lucky. And even any of the faster i5 chips (or the i7s, for that matter) only bump you up a tier.

If you really think your CPU is holding you back a bit, you have a couple of options:

1. Completely replace your system. Get a new Skylake-based system, with at least an i5-6500 & DDR4 RAM. Cheapest would be an H110 board (& probably closest to your current system's specs), although I'd recommend an H170 build if you can swing it. Again, though, you'll be lucky to maybe see 10-20% faster performance if you're lucky.

2. Replace your current CPU with an i7-3770. You won't need to flash your BIOS (uses the same v. 0403 that your current CPU needed), the cores run a little faster, plus you add HyperThreading on top of it. Again, you'll probably see about 10% improvement if you're lucky, but you'll spend a whole lot less.

If I were to change the mobo to a LGA 1150 or the 1151, what would be the recommended processors? (in price range of course, maybe a K one)

Edit 1: oh and what about the recommended mobos?

i7 6700 - might actually be cheaper than the 6600K due to being able to be used with cheaper motherboards
i7 6700K - current best consumer-level CPU, needs a Z170 board to overclock and an aftermarket cooler

Thank you all for your answers, I've decided to spend more time researching about this topic, but indeed I will take your advices to get a LGA 1151.
