Hi all,

Basically I want to further upgrade my current gaming setup, and need help making a few choices.

Recently upgraded to
Cpu: 3600x
MOBO: msi b450 gaming plus
Ram: corsair vengeance 16gb 3200 cl16
Gpu: rog strix 1070 ti (this was a carry over from my old build )
PSU: 550 watt therrmalte toughpower

I've decided that i want to up my game and move to 1440p 144hz gaming, currently 1080p 144. I would also like to upgrade my gpu to something more powerful which will also mean my psu needs an upgrade. So my questions are;

1. what should be the buying order of these parts? I currently dont have the budget to buy all of them at once

2. What gpu should i buy? I will be spending extra money on a g sync display. I am torn between 2070 super v. 2080 super.

Overall, I understand the responses will be heavily opinionated, but I am looking for some overall direction and any data to help support my future purchases.

Cheers, Morgan.

Solution
I'd start from the monitor, then get a new PSU and then the GPU. I wouldn't bother with G-sync though as Nvidia supports Freesync nowadays too.

I'd rather get the psu first, then the gpu,
and then monitor.
Because the 1070i won't be able to push 144hz (unless on low settings).

And for the gpu:
2070 super - if you play on med settings.
2080 super - if you want to play on high-ultra.
