[SOLVED] Upgrade options?

Okay so I am planning to upgrade my rig in less than a month and I am not sure what upgrade path should I go, here are my specs and possible upgrades:

Motherboard: Asus m5a78l-m/usb3
CPU:FX-8300
GPU:RX-560 (the shitty 2GB version tho)
RAM:8GB kingston 1600 mhz (single channel)
HDD:Toshiba 7200RPM 1TB
SSD:None
PSU:A relatively decent 600W one, i don't exactly remember the rating.

If i would to upgrade the CPU i would go with something like the Ryzen 5 2600 ir 1600,and ofc i would buy everything that that CPU requires (MoBo, RAM, etc.)

If i would to upgrade the GPU i would go with something like the RX-590 or 5500 XT, i know the CPU would bottleneck, but i have a pretty decent cooler so i could overclock it, plus a better GPU would give me more headroom if i were to upgrade the CPU later down the road (witch i, ofcourse would do)

In both cases i would get 16GB of RAM and Samsung 860 EVO 512GB SSD

My budget for upgrading is no more than $400-$500

If you guys have any better ideas than the components I listed above, feel free to tell them! I would appreciate any help. Thanks again for the answers!

If you are in the US, you should be able to get a Ryzen 1600 AF (on Amazon for $85), B450 motherboard, 16GB (2x8GB) kit of DDR4-3200 RAM, and a 512GB SSD all for around $300. I would go with a Crucial MX 500 over an 860 Evo for the SSD though, as that drive offers similar performance and quality for about $20 less right now.

With a $500 budget, assuming you are re-using your existing case and PSU, that would leave you with nearly a couple hundred dollars to spend on a graphics card.

Could you figure out what your PSU is? I just want to make sure that it'll be able to support your new build. This is what I would suggest within your budget.

I did not list the CPU because the 1600 AF is not on PCPP. You can find it on Amazon for 90$ right now. Just properly ensure that is the AF model and not the normal 1600 because Amazon lists both under the same name.

Also, could be useful to know what case you have. To know if I should recommend an ATX or mATX board.

Thank you for the idea, case-vise it's LC-POWER PRO-925B. I don't really need a better one since my PC is not on the desk anyways, plus it's was a great deal for around $80

Indeed, the case isn't see-through so it doesn't really matter although it does support full ATX size so if you feel you need more PCIe slots then the option is out there for you.

I did notice that the case comes with a Power Supply. Is this the one you are using right now?

Where do u live exactly?
