Upgrade or Build?

Processor - i5-3330
GPU - GT620
I did some research on the forums and got to know that I can get a 1050ti without bottle-necking the CPU.
I could either spend 500$ to upgrade the PC with better GPU,SSD,Case and PSU or build a new one for 1500$.
Bottom Line -
1 - If I upgrade,I wont get much processing power
2 - If I build,I would have to compromise in other stuff in life
3 - I am not a hardcore gamer and do not want to become one,So is a i5-3rd gen to i7-7th gen upgrade worth the sacrifices? (Would have to buy a new mobo as well because it only supports 2nd and 3rd gen cpus)

Solution
As long as you have a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, and if you're not a hardcore gamer, then upgrade. There's no reason to compromise on other stuff in life, and the 1050Ti can be carried to a new build if you ever do need to build new.
