Which one should I upgrade and when should I upgrade?
i need to turn my gpu fan up to max or ill get no signal monitor crash so I think I might buy a new gpu in my local Best Buy store,
I saw a gtx460 and gtx550 a few months ago
I didnt really see any processors but Im afraid it might bottleneck if I dont upgrade it
Help please?
EDIT:I dont want to spend that much money....I might be able to buy the stufff online though but idk what is compatible.

Still better than no card if his old one is crapping out. But why best buy? Last time I was there (a week ago or so) it was $250! You can get a 560 or 6950 for that price on newegg and they are way faster...'\

edit: checked again so yeah the one in store is $250 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/PNY+-+NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+460+1GB+GDDR5+PCI+Express+Graphics+Card/1234118.p?id=1218239484650&skuId=1234118&st=460&cp=1&lp=1 but there are other models you can order to the store of your choosing, which are cheaper and way better bang for the buck. I wouldn't spend $250 on a 460.

Alright, so I should only upgrade my gpu? wouldn't my cpu bottleneck it or is that okay?
EDIT: Not sure if the gpu will fit though lol
send me a link of a good card?
Under $350 please

I don't know how to do that lol. Okay so my cpu is good enough? I want to get a card under $350 and would last my whole computer another 2 years before i get a new computer.
EDIT: No signal crash still happens with my fan 100 percent on
it was around 100c while i was playing BC2
so it mustve been higher than 100c
Still dont know if it's a gpu issue though.
How about dual 5770s? I might still have the issue.

Well should I get another 5770 or a card like 560Ti or 6970?
Anyone give me a link for a good video card that I could buy?

when i answered your question yesterday, I suggested a 6870 or a 6950, and I didn't mention anything about 5770 in crossfire because you mentioned that your current card is having issues. Now if you are sure they are resolved, you could go for another 5770, and get a nice performance boost.

or go for a gtx 560ti, they are good, and have headroom for overclocking.
Nvidia cards have better drivers, and more headroom for overclocking.
AMD cards are good but they already have most of their performance squeezed out, Im not saying that you cant overclock them, but that nvidia oc's further, but that also differs from card to card.

yea but my 5770 is having issues overheating and constantly getting no signal crashes on my monitor after a few hours of gaming and also my old 4890 which overheated to 115 celsius and broke.
Also Im overclocking it with rivatuner I think, is that manually?
And the card will fit right?

Ok OK there, the very fist thing you need to do before investing in any new hardware is sort out your PCs heat issues, we need details and pictures if possible of the case and case fans your using, as it seems to me that for your 5770 to be shutting down you have some serious ventilation issues that must be sorted out, otherwise you will just fry any new kit you buy, so let us no exactly your pc details and we will try and help.

I think it's the card's issue because a month ago I just installed a fan that cooled down my cpu and my gpu a bit, and I think it might be my psu since i had it when I had my 4890 which had insane temperatures, and when I got my new 5770 the issue was still there
EDIT: Also my 5770 didnt ever reach 100c actually. I got the no signal issue when I play over 5 or so hours of games. My old 4890 shut down my pc when I had 110 to 115c, but this 5770 doesnt sound like a heat issue even though my gpu is at like 70c idle.

order it online, you will wait a few days for delivery, but it will be cheaper :)
The 560ti will serve you well, don't get another 5770 if your current one is malfunctioning, your problems would just pile up.
Also check out the Asus gtx 560ti Direct Cu II it is only $10 more, and it has much better cooling, it is silent, and is more reliable.

Alright I will, in less than 20 minutes Ill post a picture of the information on my power supply.
EDIT: Give me a link of that gpu please?
Also how long would a card like that last? I hope it was last for like 2 years before I buy a new pc
