So I recently had a problem with my computer, and I'm pretty sure that my motherboard is no good. When I opened up the case I noticed some bent pins and now the computer won't start at all.

I was wondering about some peoples opinion if I should replace the mobo or buy a new motherboard and processor.

Currently I have

Core i7-960
Rampage III Asus Board
12 gb ram (2x2x2x2x2x2)
GTX 480 Sli

I notices that the cheapest 1366 motherboard I could find used is around $150.

I was thinking at that price range it may just make more sense to spend the money on this.

Intel Core i5-3350P $183 - OR Intel Core i5-4670K -$235
ASRock B85 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 -$70

For a total of $253 - $305

So i guess my question is, is this upgrade worth the $100-$150 difference?

Or should I try a local repair shop.. no idea if that ever works..

Solution
what is your budget? you will need to replace the mobo/cpu, and most likely your graphics card, unless you are satisfied with its current performance.
I use this as my main PC, which I use for gaming and as my work pc (I work at home). Nothing like advanced video/photo editing.

Any recommendations for Processor/Motherboard? I may end up buying the above today.

Thanks for the response
