Upgrade or wait?

So, I've been needing an upgrade on my motherboard and to replace my cpu for a while now. I currently am using a FX-8350 and have a GA-970A-UD3. Now you may say I don't need a cpu upgrade, but it turns out my cpu is a bit faulty, in that it will cause my computer to freeze up randomly when I have it running with 6-8 cores, but will work perfectly fine with with 4 or less. I do feel the drop in performance going from 8 cores to 4 in both games and in general use.

So, I'm wondering if it would be better to wait for the new zen cpu's to come out, or if it would just be good to get a new motherboard and a new cpu (probably a fx-6300). I mainly game and want to get into streaming, so I want something that will be able to manage that well enough.

Solution
I in no way could advise someone into buying anything in the 4 year old AM3+ piledriver platform.

Best thing you could do is save up and switch to intel. Single core performance will go way up and unless you do video editing you wont miss the extra "cores" if you get an i5.

Odds are the Zen will already be inferior to Skylake

Yea, I've been wanting to switch to intel for a while and my cpu half failing is a good reason for it. Question, would it be worth it to go for a DDR4 setup or is the speed of DDR3 not that huge a difference?
