Wanted to ask about upgrading from GTX 1060 gaming X 3GB to 1070 (could be Ti version too).

Been reading a lot of threads and reviews and all of them made me even more confused. Some say it is a perfect time to upgrade from 1060 to 1070 in 2018, some say don't and wait for a new GPU line up in upcomig year. Since I already have a 1080p/144Hz G-sync monitor and another IPS 60Hz monitor. Most people say, that buying 1070 only for 1080p/60Hz is just overkill and I think the same myself.

I know that recent game releases of 2018 are poorly optimized and some are good but when I saw an E3 conference showcase I knew that GTX 1060 3gb will just bite the dust and drop in performance. And Nvidia's rumors going on and about of new GTX 1170/1180 release, that will probably be 2019 early or at the end of the year.

If you advise me not to buy 1070 and just hold on for another year, then I will probably buy PS4 pro.

My PC Specs are:
CPU: i5-7500
RAM: 8Gb
MOBO: Asus B250m-k
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming x 3gb (current)
PSU: Corsair VS 550W
Case: Thermaltake Versa H25 Window

Then upgrade. GTX 1070 TI is significantly better than GTX 1070. In fact it's closer to GTX 1080 in performance.

BTW - what's the model name of that PSU?
