[SOLVED] Upgrade Path

So today I finally decided that I need to upgrade my PC that I've been using for more than 6 years, since it can barely run any new games on resolutions higher than 720p.

I made a few mockup builds based on my budget and what's available in the electronics stores near me.

1st build (AMD):
Ryzen 3 1200
2x4GB RAM (Motherboard has 4 slots for memory, so I could buy more later)
Sapphire RX 570 4GB

2nd build (Intel):
i3 9100f
2x4GB RAM (Motherboard only has 2 slots for memory)
Sapphire RX 570 4GB

There's also a third option, which is to upgrade the rig that I have, but the components are fairly old for 2019 - a 2nd gen i5, DDR3 memory, etc.

The rig I have right now is as follows:
i5 2300
8GB DDR3 RAM
R7 360 2GB

What are your thoughts? Which path is better to take? Is it worth upgrading a rig with an older generation i5? Would it be enough for modern games if I threw in something akin to RX 570 in my current computer?

Would love to hear any advice from you guys.
