What power supply do you have?
At least you have a good baseline to work with.
Is this your board?

It looks like with a bios update you can support most of the Ryzen 3000 series. I would suggest swap out your ram for a 16gb kit of ddr4 3200 or better.
Personally, what I have now is a Ryzen 5 3600.

If you wanted to go for a value play and upgrade later because Ryzen 4000 series are coming out probably this year, here is a good cpu that would get you some performance now and tide you over and then you could either go for a chip in the 3000 series when they go on sale, or go to a 4000 series if your board will support it.

Something like this card would be a good option for 1080p. I run 1080p with a 144 hz monitor and this pushes that decently, although I have an EVGA card, not the ASUS, but this is a little cheaper at the moment.

If you want to spend more, go for something like the AMD RX 5600xt cards. Or begin to look at the RTX 2060, or RX 5700 if you want to be in the 300 dollar range.
For under 200, you could also look at this card.

Or you could look at the RX 570, RX 580, and maybe even RX 590. But those can generate some heat, so be aware and have good cooling. So not knowing what power supply you have, you may wish to upgrade that.
