Question upgrade planning

howdy,

Having done some upgrading research, Im hoping someone can help untangle this for me - the present rig is an Asus P8H61-MXR2.0, holding an i5 3470 (2133), 4GB DDR3 and a GeForce GTX650Ti. Im using it for gaming and its come unstuck following the latest Windows 8 update. My immediate plan is to upgrade to 8GB RAM, then upgrade the graphics card to 4GB.

Am I going to see meaningful performance increases here, or is it a pointless pause on the way to a new mboard/cpu.
