Upgrade Prebuilt Gaming PC

I bought a prebuilt gaming pc from best buy (Canada) that i'm looking to upgrade in the GPU (and maybe ram) department. It is an asus rog strix gaming pc: Intel core i5-8400, Gtx 1050, 8gb ddr4 ram, I believe the mother board is a ASUS ROG Strix Z370-Eo or a G not completely sure, the power supply i do not know the brand of but the bestbuy website claims for it to be a 300w. I'm looking to upgrade to a 1070, 1070 ti or a 1080 or even an amd if it has high reviews. If anyone can guide me to the right path please do so . And if the power supply needs an upgrade as well to support a higher gpu please let me know about it as well.

Yes, you will need a bigger (better?) PSU for those cards. 600W would be a good size to look for (no cheap crap).

What kind of,display and,frame rates are you aiming for? 1080p, 1440p, 4k, 60fps, 144pfs?

Thanks for your help guys I went to memory express and they told me it’s a standard supply so it’s definitely upgradable and I saw the supernova 650 watt which they had in stock and 1070-1080’s in stock as well I will be buying the supernova power supply and the 1070ti for my upgrade in the coming weeks. Thanks a bunch for your help

Be advised you can get a 1080 for the same,price as a 1070ti at the moment

Yes you do have a valid point and the 1080 is newer as well too
