upgrade processor or ram

so i had a pc that i built a while back which had a pentium g4400 and 4gb ddr4 ram my question is should i add another 4 gb of ram or upgrade the cpu to a g4560

Going from g4400 to g4560 is not much, I'd say 4 Gb of RAM is keeping your performance more constrained then CPU, thus increasing RAM would be more beneficial.

Well a dual core G4400 is not a really good processor since it has only 2 cores, but the G4560 has 2 cores and 4 threads making it a bit faster(47% faster multi-core speed) So all depends, 4 Gigs of ram is not much and a dual core CPU (G4400) is not good either. Getting more ram will be a good improvement same with getting a faster CPU but all depends on what your computer is being used for..
