I plan on upgrading from 32-bit vista to 64-bit. I know I will lose most of my applications but if I back up my data, will I still be able to transfer it and still be working? Any help would be great.

I need to upgrade to utilize all 4 GB of my available memory for video editing use.

Few of my applications are 32 bit available.

Why? Are your video editing programs not working properly?

How much faster will your video editing projects finish with Vista64 vs Vista32? My guess would be a couple seconds per project at most.

Do you need to buy new 64bit versions of your video editing program?
Or do you think a 32bit video editing program won't run on Vista64?

Well Im using Adobe After effects and I need more RAM for it to completely render my videos. Right now Im using 32-bit vista which doesnt allow me to use all 4GB of my memory for the application. I have a 32-bit and 64-bit Adobe Master Collection CD. My videos work fine but upon exporting the videos, I will get Errors telling me I have ran out of RAM and the export process will shut down. So I think that upgrading to 64-bit and being able to use all 4 GB of RAM will help the process.
