Upgrade Ram for Gaming?

I was wondering is there any benefit in upgrading my 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133 MHz to a Corsair 16GB Dominator Platinum DDR4 2400MHz RAM/Memory Kit 2x 8GB?

I have a MAXIMUS VII HERO mobo also.

Unless you run out of memory, there is no need to upgrade.

1. Upgrading from 8GB to 16Gb is not a bad idea. RAM is quite cheap anyway.
2. Increasing only RAM frequency does not bring much, close to nothing. You must find the highest freq/CL ratio, even this has only relatively small impact.

There are definite benefits to having 16gb of ram, but not in gaming as of today. Multitasking in windows, sure. i would say its' a safe investment fi you can just add anither 2X4gb sticks identical to the ones you already have considering the prices today. But not if you have to change them altogether. And btw, you need DDR3 for that MB, NOT DDR4!
