Question Upgrade ram in prebuilt

Are you planning to use those by themselves, or add them to existing memory that is already installed?

If you are only using those modules, then yes, they will work fine. If you are adding them alongside other sticks, then it's a crapshoot. Worst case, you use only the new memory or possibly work at tuning the timings to be compatible with the existing sticks but there's no guarantees there.

I would remove the prebuilt pc ram which is 8gb and replace it with the Corsair ones which is 16gb would it be compatible

Would this increase FPS in games such as fortnite csgo and apex legends? And how hard is it to install
Fortnite needs a decent GPU (GTX 660 or better) and from what I've seen is CPU single thread performance bound.
CSGO is CPU single thread performance bound. Changing RAM wont make a huge difference.
Apex Legends is GPU bound until it has enough performance then it switches to CPU performance bound. It's actually pretty well optimized from what I understand.

Increasing your RAM wont make that big of a difference but this is with no knowledge of what GPU you have and what resolution you're trying to run at. The Ryzen chips actually benefit the most if the RAM is DDR4-2933 rated or faster so the DDR4-2400 wont make that big of a difference. That also depends on what the specifications are for the original 8GB kit.

So, can you post the exact make and model of your GPU, CPU, and RAM? This will help us determine what the issue is.

Ryzen 5 1400
Rx 580 4g
8 ram

Yes, you'd be a lot better off with DDR4 3000 or 3200mhz memory than with those 2400mhz sticks. But there will be a cost difference AND no matter what anybody might say, these days it makes no sense to run only 8GB if you CAN opt to have 16GB. There are a lot of reasons why you'd want that, and I'm not going into all them again, here. Needless to say, it's unlikely those are the only games you'll ever play on this system and MANY titles are beginning to not only benefit from 16GB, but require it. That expectation will likely increase as time goes on.

Increasing RAM capacity and speed should have a tangible effect on performance. You're likely GPU-bound with Apex legends. The other two are probably also close to GPU-bound but that system's actually pretty balanced. The RAM kit @Darkbreeze linked should improve performance. Granted, I'm currently assuming that you're playing at 1080p. If you're playing above 1080p then you are clearly GPU-bound so increasing RAM speed and capacity wont make a huge difference. Apex legends takes a bit more performance from the GPU than the CPU. The low single thread performance of the Ryzen 5 1400 might contribute to lower FPS.

What kind of performance are you getting, what resolution are you playing at, and what settings are you using in each of those games? What's the issue with FPS? This would be something like too low all the time, too low in high action situations, frame rate stalls/jitters/dips? If the FPS is too low what is the goal FPS you're looking for in these games?
