to upgrade Ram to two gygabytes, will that give me more speed and keep stuff from getting stuck on computer

If you've oly got 1GB or less at present then 2 should improve your performance noticeably. How much obviously depends on your setup, but it's usually a very cost-effective upgrade.

Hi. Yes, the cheapest and easiest way to upgrade your computer is to buy more RAM. it's not a magic wand, but can be effective in improving system speed.
