Upgrade Recommendations for Voice Recognition performance?

Hello all, I am a physician and writer who uses Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 13. I use it mostly for my fiction writing, but sometimes also for work.. I wanted to post my computer specs to get your opinion on what I should upgrade to get the best boost in accuracy and speed, as I notice that the program seems to lag a bit in creating text.

I was told by someone else that what I really needed was an external USB sound card and a new microphone. Was curious if you have links to any specific recommendations.

Your microphone is a pretty good one, no need to change there.

If you want higher quality audio for your headphones an external DAC or even an sound card would help increase your experience in listening to audio. This also depends on if your headphones are capable of a 'high quality' signature.

Do you have to type out any scripts? perhaps a new mechanical keyboard would be a nice change, some people do prefer the feel for 'professional' use.

Otherwise your computer seems to be alright, and still should have good performance for everyday usage.

Some things I noticed reading through again;

You could overclock the CPU, you can find plenty of info about this on google, but it could help a bit in improving your performance.

and the other option; buy an SSD! this is a huge upgrade, you will notice the performance improvements immediately. Samsung is the leading brand when it comes to SSD's.

You should choose to use the SSD as your Operating System drive if possible.
