Guy i need gpu upgrade suggestion as i am upgrading from Sapphire Radeon 7850 Dual X version.

Is AMD R9 280x good replacement for 7850 gpu?
or should i wait for 380x?

Solution
If you already sold your card then I would get a higher end card such as an R9 290 as the user above mentioned or the Nvidia equivalent which is the GTX 780. If you don't have the money for either of them the 280X will be sufficient. If you're not using a FHD (1080p) monitor, then it'll last you a long while.
For what reason are you upgrading? I would wait a bit before you upgrade from a currently mid tier card. If you sell it and upgrade, that's a different story. I guess a 280X would be a noticeable difference although I would recommend the Nvidia counterpart, the GTX 770 solely because it offers higher performance on 1080p. Having said that I own a 7970 (a card of which the 280X is a rebrand of) and it runs most games fine. Far Cry 3 and Assassins Creed IV posed a big challenge to it though. I blame Ubisoft though for not optimizing their games properly.

My 7850 was running every game fine, it's just i wanted to be future proof so i sold it today, As i wanted to play games like Witcher 3 and GTA 5 in future.
& i don't have a HD display.

May aswell wait for the new gen cards then if you dont need to upgrade.

Guys is it safe to buy a used graphics card from Amazon, where Amazon is the seller & it says about condition:

(Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on front of item. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on top of item. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on the sides of item. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on back of item. Accessories have cosmetic damage).

or where it says:

MSI RECERTIFIED 90 days warranty direct full accessories.

please reply ASAP!

Shoulda kept your 7850, especially if you're not running at 1080p. It's a waste to upgrade when you're gonna be pushing 60 fps on everything at 720p anyhow.

If you must, the 280x isn't a bad upgrade. It's a few tiers up from the 7850.

As for buying used... I wouldn't trust it. Anyone can claim "re-certified". There is a good chance that the chip has something that is wrong with it that won't be obvious on visual inspection either.

The above user is correct. But I would trust deals from Amazon warehouse. I bought my PSU from them and all the defects they stated in the description were accurate. I did take a huge gamble and bought my motherboard used though. The only thing messed up on it was the USB 3.0 header. Other than that it was fine except I didn't get a fancy case badge or a door hanger :x
