upgrade suggestion please

hello i have a GA-970A-UD3 and an AMD FX 6300 and going to sell them now
What would you choose
1. An asrock Z77 extreme 4 with an i5 3570K
or

2. Keep my motherboard and get an FX 8350 ?

i also have a hyper 212 evo cooler and a 7870 gpu

I haven't owned amd products yet. They are good and I do like them. I have a z77 mobo and i7 3770k so that's a very similar set up to mine. They work really really well. The only reason I wish I got a 2011 socket instead is because it's easier to add 3 or 4 gpu's on. I can give you an answer based on what you want to use your rig for and what you want it to be able to do. Otherwise I'd just be guessing your motives.

You can get about the same out of both set ups. So it's a matter of preference on being red or blue. If you haven't had an intel set up yet I recommend trying that just for shiggles. You may find that you like it better. Intel CPU will last significantly longer than amd CPU, however amd usually comes with a free game around this time. If you want a really awesome experience I would try saving up a little more and get a republic of gamers brand mother board. Again that depends on what you are using the computer for though.

can i ask you one last question ?
can i give the 8350's factory fan to a friend that has an fx 6300 ? it will fit right? because i have an aftermarket cooler

oh and one more sorry 😛
my friend will my get my fx 6300 switching from fx 4100.
and i will change from fx 6300 to 8350.
we have to change something to the PC? format or something?

You will both have to reinstall for sure because you're replacing the CPU. Not sure if that fan will fit because they aren't universal... It won't hurt to try.
