Upgrade Suggestions For Mid-Range 4k build

Can anyone suggest a decent gaming-specific AMD based build that can handle 4k gaming within the £700-800 mark ($1000).

There are so many motherboards to chose from but have no idea what the differences between them all. This build would be for gaming and entertainment, no video editing or other CPU heavy stuff.

impossible for that budget to do any real 4k gaming with AAA titles. 1080ti is the least you should have for gpu and that eats up most of your budget already.

I'm planning to play all the latest games + minecraft & fortnite to the max graphic settings. It has to be future proof so it can also do 4k VR and star citizen but I want to spend as little money as possible. Here is my preliminary design, please add your thoughts and suggestions. Many thanks

I figure the higher power supply will make up for the lower end RAM memory, so it would getting the same high end performance.

PSU will NOT make up for the low amount of RAM.

Wrong motherboard for that CPU.

Wrong RAM type (DDR3).

If you give us a budget, and your location, someone should be able to help put a build together for you.

And an i3 does not futureproof anything, especially for "4k VR".

No, that is completely false. There's no scenario in which having a higher end PSU would make up for the lack of hardware. A solid 550W should be able to run just about anything, put that money saved back into the hardware. You also have an X470 motherboard with an LGA1151 CPU, those will not mix.

What is your overall budget?
