Question upgrade suggestions

Hey guys my current setup is a ryzen 5 3600 rtx 2070 on a b350 pc mate MOBO im looking to upgrade my cpu any suggestions? also can upgrade MOBO if you suggest it with whatever CPU suggestion you have. this computer is for streaming and gaming if that helps.

Invest in a nice 1440p monitor if you haven’t already.

I mean if your loading out the cpu you can upgrade to a 3700x gain some more cores and threads and maybe a rtx 2080 or something

those are my full specs i get alot of micro stutters in alot of the games when i play at 1440p

I would say it’s cpu related then. You might be able to overclock and that wo yo of help some but I’d upgrade to a ryzen 2000 series if you can. You may have to update your bios

That changes things, as your OP said R5 3600. A bios update, and an upgrade to an R5 3600, or 3700x, would be a great idea.

so my MOBO should work with just a bios update for a 3600 or 3700x and my bad i didnt realize i put 3600

Probably worth asking, have you verified that your two sticks of RAM are in the proper slots to enable dual-channel mode, and that their XMP profile has been activated in the BIOS to run them at their full DDR4-3000 speed?

yeah the ram is in 2 and 4 and xmp is on and set to 3000
