I have what most of you are probably familiar with as the upgrade bug. My cpu FX-6300 @4.4ghz gets the job done on most games I play, but it is getting long in the tooth. My GPU GTX 760 is alright as well, but new games are coming out and it isn't the greatest. I have been trying to figure out which is a better choice to upgrade.
I am interested in Intel's new Skylake cpus as they can support DDR3 and DDR4 providing a low cost upgrade path. Since I have an AMD system, I will have to grab a new mobo, but the RAM I can upgrade later. There is the GTX 970 or R9 390 I am comparing as well, because I am looking in that range of GPUs
I am looking at spending around $400 for my upgrade whether it be CPU or GPU and I just want to know which is the best bang for buck. Do I upgrade my CPU/MOBO or GPU? which is the best value.
