Service a worst system. he ask me how much cost for upgrading this system . System information : Mobo , p4 1.5ghz (single core), 1gb ram said in bios but 500mb detected in windows (ddr 1), 80gb hdd (I think ide), now gpu , use internal gpu. 15.4" benq lcd. Yes he use keyboard and mouse (ps2).
Bios support usb boot what a Mobo .
Upgrade at very low cost (hold hdd) .
His son like amd now .so Intel and amd highly .
Wanted Mobo (ide port for old hdd), processor (dual or triple core), 2gb ddr3,cabinet with psu , no gpu (use internal gpu), dvd drive (not detect old drive) .

With just about every major component needing to be upgraded, it would make more sense to buy a new PC or have one built for you.

Yes , he ask me what is the low budget . hdd is high cost so hold old hdd . upgrade mobo ,processor ,ram ,cabinet ,psu. so what is the low budget . browsing internet , watching video in YouTube is his job.

If you have any decent computer store near by, you should be able to find a decent HP with Windows 7/8 for 300, any low budget tends to be better for prebuilt. My brother and I got my mother a new computer for 300 about three months ago for Christmas(Early gift) to replace her old HP(one of the first AMD dual cores!)

Not want branded items because only 1 year warranty period . So assemble a system . what are the component at very low cost (not want hdd). mobo with ide port.

I do not think any current generation mb has an IDE port

and the HDD is so old he should start with all new components

For browsing and watching videos that enough . but he ask low cost . if he ask high cost definitely Iam goto new ssd.
