Happy Holidays everyone. I am contemplating upgrades to my existing system:

CPU i7 4790K:
MB: ROG Maximus Hero VII:
Memory: 32 Gigs Gskill DDR3 2133 Ram
Graphics Card: Asus RTX 2070 Strix 8gig
SSD: C: System drive 250 gig, D: Games drive 1TB
PSU: Corsair AX1200I 1200W
Cooling: a Custom loop with (Alphacool 120 radiator, Monsoon S2 D5 bay mounted reservoir, EK Universal cooling block)
Case: Corsair 900D

The machine runs great, but since I built it in 2014, I think it is time for an upgrade. I want to keep the bones of the system like the case, PSU, graphics card, and the cooling system. What CPU and motherboard should I use? I am considering an AMD Ryzen 3900X with an Asus ROG Strix z570-E board. Also,I want to add an M.2 drive.

the new configuration needs to have longevity. I don't want to upgrade for another 5 years. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Solution
The 3900X is a great choice. As for the board, check out the Youtube video by Gamer Nexus, they released some recommendations according to your budget. Keep in mind that you will also need new RAM. DDR4 and I recommend 3200Mhz.
