Okay so here is my current build:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT90ZFBGRBOX

GIGABYTE GA-890XA-UD3 AM3 AMD 790X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

XFX HD-585X-ZNFV Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ (Except now it's only 6GB because one unit died.)

Consider this as well:

1) Don't shop with your wallet. I have $1500 to spend if I want too.

2) That does not mean I will. If there is a smart way that would still get me a kick ass rig for a lot less money, I will do that.

3) One of my perceived issues whether valid or not is the processor. I have heard that some of my gaming woes, like stuttering in the Witcher One and some other games, may be caused by AMD's 6 Cores or something like that.

4) This rig will primarily be for gaming but could be used for music recording and Photoshop work too.


What are your thoughts? What to do?
