Hi Guys,
I've got a wee bit of cash to upgrade, my rig is currently handling games fine, but with Battlefront and fallout 4 just round the corner it needs to step up. Im just not sure where to go, Id like to spend less than £200.

Currently I'm running on:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB
RAM: 8.2 GB

Question is do I try and get an i7 for my 1155 mobo or;
Go for a GPU upgrade like the GTX 750 Ti or;
wait a bit and get an new mobo and i7 (crossfire capable for another 6850 in the near future)?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I realize this is a bit old, but I would recommend the opposite. Your CPU will be okay for most things, but your GPU is lagging behind if you want to play new games. I wouldn't spend any money on a dead platform, so don't bother with an Ivy Bridge CPU. A new GPU now will make your games feel like new and can carry over if you upgrade your mboard and CPU. I'd wait until Skylake prices and product availability settles down a bit before upgrading your platform.

It's an asus with H61 chipset. No crossfire and 1155 socket. If I'm going down the cup route I think I have to change the mobs too.

I had a feeling I needed to change the mobs/CPU I just didn't want to admit it to myself. Thankfully my mate has and identical 6800 series GPU that I can get cheap if I get a mob I with crossfireX.

Thanks for the answer :)
