Dear everyone,

I have the following system, and would like to upgrade:

Case - Cooler Master Mastercase 5 + 6x140mm Corsair SP Fans + NZXT HUE+
PSU - BeQuiet! Straight Power E10 700W
Motherboard - ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming K6+ Z170
CPU - Intel Core i5 6600K @ 4.6GHz
Cooler - BeQuiet ShadowRock 2
RAM - 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @XMP2 3.0GHz
GPU - Gigabyte GTX1060 G1 Gaming 3GB @1960 boost / 2250 memory
SSD - 2 x Intel SSD 535 240GB RAID0 + 2x HyperX Beast 240GB
Audio - Creative SB X-Fi Fatal1ty Titanium Pro / Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen2 + AT2020 mic
Monitor 1 - Philips 271S IPS 27" FHD WLED
Monitor 2 - Dell P2014H 20", portrait mode
Keyboard - Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Evil Geniuses Edition
Mouse - Razer Taipan + Razer Bungee + Goliathus Control Extended

I would like to upgrade the main monitor to a 1440p 27" Asus with G-sync.

My question, in short, would be, since my budget is limited to about 800 euros in December:

Can I still game (I play HoTS, WoW and Destiny 2 mostly) for a while on this videocard, and get the monitor and a 7700K, or should I postpone the CPU purchase and stretch for the monitor + GTX1080 (had a 1070 Strix and would prefer the 1080 Strix OC) and get the CPU at a later date?

I don't really stream much, so that scenario for CPU thread count benefit is out of the question.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Solution
Firstly, if you are not into streaming, then the meager 10% odd jump in cpu performance wont be too beneficial for you just for gaming sake... http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-6600K/3647vs3503

Second, if you have decided already to get a 1440p screen, then the 1060 wont be able to make the cut across most games. You will definitely need a 1070/1080 for smooth lag free gameplay.

If I were you, I would get the 1080 + monitor.
