Upgrade to a M.2 nvme or not?

Hello I would like to replace my samsung 850 evo 500gb with a Samsung SSD 970 EVO, 500 GB, M.2, NVMe 500 gb. is a worth upgrade? If yes can I use it on my motherboard a Gigabyte Z370 HD3 (Ultra-Fast M.2 with PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA interface) ?
