Hello guys I am currently running on E7400 Core 2 duo and 2gb ram.
I am thinking to upgrade to Fx 6300, the sole purpose is casual gaming like pubg, fortnite and GTA 5 at decent fps.

The cost of upgrade as of now:-

Mobo+Processor+8gb Ram = 5000INR or 71$
Graphics card:- GTX 950 = 3800 INR or 50$
Cabinet and Storage already there.

Should I go for this upgrade or not? And is it worth it?

I have an old FX 6300 system. It is fine for entry level basic casual gaming. dont expect the WOW effect with it. But my system also has an rx 560 and 16 gb ram. It will play a lot of games but not at high or ultra settings. if money is the issue then go for it. but if you have at least 550 to spare go for a a ryzen upgrade. good luck.

Well it all depends on what you are willing to spend on a system. An R3 1200 is a good cpu when you compare price to performance. This cpu along with a decent gpu will give you some good fps. A friend of mine has this cpu along with an rx 560 and can run just about any game he throws at it. Example in SOTTR he gets a good 60 fps. How much are you willing to spend to upgrade? Casual gaming that R3 1200 is a good entry level chip. Its actually $70 on amazon.

An upgrade would be totally worth it. if you could spend an extra $35 you could jump up to the R3 1300x or R5 1600.

Just an FYI. My youngest son is the one using the FX 6300 system.

Windows 10
FX 6300
16gb Patriot ddr3
SSD 250gb (boot) HDD 1 TB(storage)
RX 560 4gb

Right now he is playing APEX legends on High settings and is running just fine. Averaging around 50-60 fps. Thats on high. I installed an SSD about 2 weeks ago. The loading times were through the roof when using the HDD to boot. Picked up the SSD (PNY) at best buy for $30.

Thanks for the reply, now I think I will stack up some $ and wait for 3rd gen ryzen so when it comes out I can either go for that or taken ryzen 2 when it's price comes Dow
