Upgrade to FX6-6300 or A8-7600?

Hi,
I'am doing a much needed upgrade on low budget.
I want to play games such as Diablo 3 and COD Adv Warfare.
I have an Radeon HD 7700 1GB gfx card to use with the above CPUs.
So question is whats best; the FX6 6 core with gfx card or the A8 4 core which should run in conjuction with the gfx card thanks to crossfire?
Mobo I think to buy is:
for A8 = Asus A88X-GAMER AMD FM2+ A88X DDR3 ATX
or for FX6 = ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 AMD 970 AM3+ ATX 4 DDR3 CrossFire RAID 140W
any advice is grateful

If I were you, I'd wait and see what AMD's new processors bring to the table, which are due to be released later this year. These processors will undoubtedly use a new socket, meaning that the current AM3+ one will be dead.

If you can save some money in the meantime you can also consider a GPU upgrade. Some of the new 300 series cards are due to be released later this year, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the current R7/R9 cards will drop in price when that happens.

thanks for info BRM! I see some stuff online about "AMD’s Carrizo" so would love to hear its coming out sooner rather than later so will hold back for now

Good call, and you could probably bag a discount on the FX series once the new processors are released.

I agree with BRM.

If you need one now and go with existing tech, the FX 6300 or 6350 with a good OC motherboard/cooling will work well.

If you can wait for the next gen AMD platform, it might be better.
