Upgrade to GTX 1080 or 1440p 1444hz

Hi need some help, im looking at upgrading my GPU and my monitor but don't know which one to do first?
I am currently running a GTX 1060 6GB, with a 1080p 1444 hz monitor.
I want to upgrade my GPU to a 1080
And also 1440p 1444hz monitor.
Can only afford one at the moment which one would i benefit getting first?

Palit duel GTX 1060 6GB
