Hey guys, I recently came into some money and was wondering if it is a sensible choice to upgrade to a GTX 680 or wait until the 7-series of graphics cards come out. My budget is £500 max so I can't really afford a 690 or a Titan...

I basically want to future proof as much as possible so I can play games (such as Battlefield 4) when they come out.

Would I be better off saving my money? I've read that the 7-series Nvidia cards are going to carry quite a hefty pricetag...

Thanks in advance for replies....

Oh really? I never knew that haha.

I will look at a 7970 then maybe... Not too keen on ATi cards but if it's proven to be faster then I'll probably get that.

Thanks man

I'm thinking for going for the Asus GTX 670 DirectCU2 TOP

Is that a decent card?

I have an XFX Core Edition 650W power supply with an i5 3570k and 8GB vengeance RAM in a corsair C70 case, would my power supply be able to handle the card? Will it fit?

Sorry I am never sure when it comes to power supplies and I don't want to fry mine!

Thanks for all your help so far guys :)

The great thing is, you can always look up benchmarks, in addition to taking the word of anonymous forum posters. Just be sure that you are looking at reviews that use the latest drivers and a wide range of the latest games. Bottom line, though, this is a bad time to drop a bunch of cash on a video card when the GTX 780 is due to be released at the end of the month.
