[SOLVED] Upgrade to i5 4th gen CPU

I have the following system specs :-
ASUS H81M-CS
i3 - 4170
4gb x 2 RAM Sticks
1 TB HDD
Zotac GTX 970

what are my best upgrade options for the CPU ie both in i5 or i7?

In today’s games the i7 4770 would be a better choice if you don’t want to upgrade mobos to a more recent chipset.

The strongest will be a i7-4790K even though you can not overclock the K.

Yes, the psu you need is primarily gated by the graphics card you use.
Seasonic 520 is good for a GTX970.
