Hello, I currently have a i7-4790k and am looking to upgrade to an i7-9700k. My power supply is 600 Watt - Corsair CX600 V2 - 80 PLUS Bronze, I currently have an MSi 1080 and my motherboard is an MSi Z97-G45 Gaming. I want to make sure my motherboard and powersupply are compatible with the upgrade. Thank you

Solution
4790k is 4th gen, Haswell, lga1150, ddr3
9700k is 9th gen, CoffeeLake, lga1151v2, ddr4

2 totally different motherboard needs, cpu needs, ram needs.

Psu got nothing to do with the mobo, everything to do with cpu and gpu. That psu isn't enough for a i9 9900k, but is ok for a 9700k or lower. It's obviously ok for the current gpu. The CX v2 should be the black/silver label, and while not the best gaming psu, it's acceptable.
