Additional Comments: I really like the system I have. I am a retired engineer with a company setup where I have numerous other retired engineers where we have the pleasure of working together on projects we like. I have two matched systems where occasionally we manage a construction project and I can have one in a construction trailer. These systems have two extra hot swap Sata drives so I can carry files back and forth easily.

Why Upgrade: My current system works well. I have been considering upgrading, but have not taken action. Yesterday, I think the motherboard failed.

Gateway FX-6860 tower case
FSB Group 500 Watt Power Supply
AMD Radeon Pro WX-7100 8 GB Video Card
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD

5 Front Mounted SD Card slots

Case Fan
Case Lighting

Any Advice appreciated. Specific Questions:
- I have struggled to determine the motherboard, but it is square just over 9.5 inches each way, so I believe it is a Micro ATX (MATX). This new motherboard looks like it matches, but how do I confirm the back panel is the correct size?
- How do I choose best ram for the money?
- For 32GB ram, is it ok to use 2 16GB and have room to add two more later? I have always used all four slots
