Hello there, my current rig is as below : -
cpu - i3 4150
mb - asrock b85m hds
ram - kingston ddr3 8gb x 2
gpu - gtx 1060

Should I upgrade to kabylake? i3 7100 maybe?
or stay on haswell and upgrade cpu to i5?

Mainly I use it to play AAA title game on 1080p resolution

Solution
IMO i would go with an I5 Kaby lake AFTER Ryzen launches and looking at their numbers in real world tests

AAA titles are going to take advantage of the higher clock speeds and even your general computing will be much faster

if i had a budget i could throw togeather a pc part picker list
I'd go for a Haswell i7 or Xeon v3. Has all the advantages of the i5 over the i3, plus better clock speeds possibly, plus the added benefits to more than a few AAA titles of 8 thread usage. The @10% performance bonus offered by kaby-lake over Haswell might seem big, but looking at a 60fps screen, that's a whopping 6fps or a few more, all of which really go unused. Even if it meant getting 300fps vrs 200fps in cs:go, that's still no benefit. You still get 60.
On the flip side an i7 in BF1 gets major help vrs an i3, meaning you could finally move from 30fps to 60fps.
Stick with the Haswell.
