Hey people
I'm upgrading soon and I wanted to know some of ur opinions. I use my system for gaming and some editting. Would the following upgrade get me 60 fps ultra settings on 1080p res. ? Or should I invest in a 1070 or smthing ?
-Current system :
I5 4690
Msi z97 gaming 5
8 gbs ddr3 2400 mhz
R9 390
-Upgrade :
Ryzen 5 2600
Asus rog strix b350
8 gbs 3000 mhz
R9 390
Cooler master master air pro 4

Solution
you old r9 390 is a prety strong potent card for its age still trades blows with any crapvidia card coming out. If going Ryzen I recomend a 2600/x or 2700/x take the benefit of the extra cores & threads & in locked chip. If your playing both those games the old R9 can easily handle those games & you can stream record & multi task with ease. I advise staying away from crapvidia especially with their next gen cards due very soon & AMD holding off on next gen tho if you go Ryzen wait for the 7nm chips in the AMD cards to hit the market end of the year they will be the sleeper in the pack that will decimate the competition.

triple a titles. I spend the most time on GTA V and BF1 tho but in general.

Any reason for the hatred against Nvidia cards? Or are you just biased.

@OP:
Keep the R9 390 for now. Take the 2600 upgrade. What PSU are you on? If it is poor, upgrade that as well.
