Upgrade to SSD and Windows 8.1

My laptop (which I don't use all the time) has become pretty slow. I'm thinking of getting a fresh start with first of all upgrading to an SSD as a primary drive, and for the secondary slot either keeping one of the 2 HDD (currently raid configured) or just getting a new HDD that's larger. Either way, my main question is:

Is there an automated way to see what drivers I'll need for the new install of Windows 8.1 (either before or after upgrade) My laptop is an MSI with you know light up keyboard and buttons on the top I want to make sure still work. I don't want to simply update because I want to use this as a chance to clear off all the junk and start fresh.

Before you start, go to the laptop manufacturer and download the relevant drivers. Save to a USB stick, for after you install the OS.
