upgrade to SSD but OEM windows.

Hi, I recently decided to upgrade to an SSD from a WD blue 500GB. I think i have the idea of what i need to do just thought i would come and check with you guys first. This is what i planned to do...
Uninstall windows from my current hard drive, then format it.
Then connect only the SSD and boot from the windows 7 CD and install it on to the SSD ( what to do about partitioning?).
then change the boot option to SSD and fire ahead?
i do plan on keeping the old hard drive of course for stuff like games ect ect i only plan on using the SSD for Boot.

Looks like youre ready. Windows will partition the disk for you when you install. Since its OEM, you may need to call microsoft when installing to get a code. Its no big deal, I use it all of the time.

Don't worry about partitioning. Just let Windows do its thing.

do i somehow need to install my previous hard drive? or do i just connect it and let it do its thing?

After the SSD is up and running with its own OS, then connect the HDD.
