Upgrade to Windows 10 from OEM windows?

If I install Windows Home Premium SP1 OEM on my computer, would I be able to upgrade to windows 10 later?

yes i personally installed a OEM version of windows 7 ultimate a week ago. After that i activated it and did all the windows update's, now i have the option to upgrade it to win10.

You should be able to, my upgrade to 10 was from a Win 7 Home Premium OEM install.

Are you re-installing that OEM on the original PC it was purchased with? That would be your only restriction.

No I'm buying an OEM disc and installing on my new pc

OEM discs are only meant to be shipped with prebuilt PC's. The discs are not meant to be sold. You might have a problem with the Windows 7 key, which would in turn affect the upgradebility.

what mmaatt747 said is true, i had to use the microsoft phone service.
you basicly navigate trough a few phone menu's, type in the code you get into your pc and you are activated.

Guys it's fine, turns out my dad bought me windows 10 as a gift, so I don't have to deal with this problem.
