[SOLVED] Upgrade to windows 10: graphics card not compatible?

I have a fairly old (gaming) pc which I tried to upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10 a while ago. I got the following message:

This device is not compatible in windows 10.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
You'll have problems with your display in Windows 10.

Now that the support for windows 7 is soon over, I'm a bit concerned about this machine and would love to upgrade it to windows 10. What I am wondering is the following:

Is this just because the drivers are for windows 7 and after upgrading I can download w10 drivers and it should work fine. Or is it actually not compatible and my graphics card will not work after upgrading? I have the latest drivers installed.

Just use Nvidia drivers rated for win 10 32bit 391.35 . It should work fine.

Yes. At worst it will boot with a basic display driver untill you install the correct one

it could be a driver issue, I am not 100% sure latest Nvidia drivers still support card. there are a few cases of people having problems with that card and win 10.

Fermi support has ended. Latest W10 drivers wont work on a 560ti.

However, drivers from a year ago will work on windows 10.
