[SOLVED] Upgrade to Windows 8.1, or 10?

Hello folks,
I'm looking to upgrade my Dell Latitude E5430 (it has an HDD, maybe SSD in the future) from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 or 10.
My worry is currently perfomance since it's not the latest or the best laptop out there, so I'm kind worried for that.

Most people say that 8.1/8 was a total failure, but for some normal laptop tasks, I think that I can't really find anything bad about it.
And for 10, I upgraded my main PC to 10 from 7. and it surely did get slower and less resposnsive, and I can't stand the bloatery that it comes with. And also those forced updates are extremly annoying, especially annoying since the laptop is for business work only.

So, is it good to get 8.1 in 2020, it still has a few supported years left.

Just get 10, everything is eventually headed that way anyways. 7 is already a dead operating system, and 8 and 8.1 won't be too far behind it.

It will likely perform better than 8.1.

Windows 10. I am a tech, and made myself use Windows 8 for a while, and still ended up hating Windows 8. 10 is really what 8 should have been.
