Question Upgrade Toshiba Satellite C850-1g3 ?

Hello,
my girlfriend have a Toshiba Satellite C850-1g3 with this specs:

• Intel Celeron 1000M 1.8GHz Socket 988b rPGA
• Intel PLCSF8 PCI-Express 2.0
• 4GB DDR3
• Intel HD Graphics

I would like to upgrade memory to 8GB and CPU.
Do you know any places to buy compatible components ?

Hi there! Since i dont know much about the ‘places‘ you’ve mentioned, my reccommendations would be online marketplace / online store (ebay, amazon, or maybe ali express), and usually if u want to upgrade laptops the only options left is to buy secondhand CPU that is removed/disassembled from other laptop that has the exact same socket, this is imporant because this means that u cannot buy CPU from vendors, they dont sell it. I also dont know if ur CPU is soldered so u might want to check on that. I can provide u with some reccomendations of what kind of CPU is compatible with your system, it’s i3 2310M, i3 2330M, or if u want to go a little extreme (i wont reccommend because i think it might now work) try upgrading it to i7 3610QM. As of RAM (memory) upgrade any brand is fine as long as its the same type which is DDR3 SODIMM . Hope this helps, cheers!
