Additional Comments: I have the following system which is functioning properly:

Mainboard: Gigabyte P35-DS3

Ram: 4x1 GB DDR2 (probably 800MHz)
HDD: Western Digital 500GB
Case: Cooler Master 690
PSU: Cooler Master 460W (came with the case)
Monitor: 22" (1680x1050)

I am having low fps in SWTOR even on moderate settings, so I would like to upgrade my system. Could you tell me which components are causing bottleneck so I can focus on them. My desire is to play SWTOR and Diablo III on high (if not ultra) settings and have high fps even in crowded areas.

Thank you

the E8400 (3.06 GHz stock) is probably not the bottleneck. a GPU upgrade will probably be what you need.

an HD 6870 ($160) and a new 500W PSU ($60 for a Seasonic S12II 520W would be perfect) should be good without being bottlenecked by the CPU, this basic upgrade would be $220.

if you want to also replace your CPU/RAM/MOBO, a good, relatively inexpensive build:

Intel i5-2400: $180 (thru Dec 20)
ASRock H61M/U3S3: $75
PNY 8 GB DDR3-1333: $32
this is $287

with the GPU & PSU, the total is $507

If you are willing to spend a litlle more go with a corsair TX650 and i5-2500 or i5-2500k if you want to overclock but i5-2400 will be fine for swtor. Rememeber you only want t do these upgrades once so you dont ahve to do them again. BTW 6870 should max out SWTOR. I am maxin it out on GTX 560 on 1920x1080 which is the nividia equalivent to a 6870. Make sure that MOBO is compatible with K series intel CPU's!

I guess I will replace mobo/cpu/ram as well, don't want to worry about gaming performance in the next few years.

Thank you for your comments
