Upgrade worth doing?

Hello, I have a Msi night-blade MIB with i7 1060. It comes with a 80+Bronze 350Watt psu. If I want to upgrade from 1060 to a geforce gtx 1080, would i have enough power or should i then put a 550watt in my computer instead. Btw, I dont want to build a new computer because i already have that msi and am not looking for a new computer, just upgrading it. Also the 1080 i would put in would be the small Zotac dual fan one not a triple fan.

350w is not enough for a 1060, much less a 1080

550w would be recommended for a 1080


if you are having performance issues, it is very likely its psu related

Well, when it comes to upgrading a PSU I would go for whats more safe just in case you miscalculate or want to add additional storage. I'd say 550 watt.

i have a nightblade. i dont think it was ever offered with a 1080 so i dont think it is compatible. the 1060's used are the mini variety using low power draw.

if a 1060 works a 1080 will as well, as long as you can acommodate the psu requirement

The MSI support page says "1 x PCI-E 16X (Supports mini-ITX graphics card)" so if the 1080 fits that profile and you can power it, why not? Zotac's ITX 1080 will require an 8 pin pci-e connector, do you have one on that 350W?
