Upgrade worth it?

I am looking to upgrade my PC and want to know if it is worth it

My PC Specs ATM:

Processor: AMD FX 4170 4.2GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
Memory: 8GB Kingston DDR3 1333MHz
Graphics Card: MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB (R7770-PMD1GD5)
Hard Disk Drive: 2TB Seagate 7200.14 ST2000DM001
CPU Cooler: Reference AMD FX 4170 heatsink
Case: Cooler Master Elite 310 w/ Side Panel Window
Power Supply: Artic MPS550 550W
Optical Drive: 24x Optiarc AD-7280S
Operating System: Windows 8 64-bit

I am thinking of upgrading to a AMD FX 8350 and a 770 GTX would this be worth it

I would recommend a motherboard upgrade as well since the mATX boards really are not good with 8 core maybe go board FX8320 and GTX760. Then it would be worth it.

yep, and a after market cooler for the cpu (for example cm 212 evo) will also be nice. a ssd too if you can afford it.

Your current FX will bottleneck the 770 in CPU intensive games but do fine in single threaded, so you could go in between and go FX6300/50 for better handling those few games.
