Upgrade worth the Money?

Hello,
i just bought an I7-4790k, Asus Maximus Ranger Vii and the dark rock 3 for 455$.
My current System is an I5-3550, Asrock H77 Pro4/MVP and Boxed Cooler.

Now i dont know if a new MB, CPU and Cooler is worth the money. Or should i use my warranty and send it back? I heard of the new X99 Chipsets and the 2013-11 sockets.
Is it smart to wait for those Future upgrades?

Your current CPU is fine, I don't think it'll age anytime soon but a new CPU, MOBO, and Cooler for $455 is a really good deal IMO. If you want the new x99 stuff, it'll be more costly than what you already bought.
