Question Upgrade

Hello, im trying to upgrade my ram from 4GB to 6GB but dont know if this is compatible with my HP Elitebook 8440p.

DDR 3 4GB 1600MHz. SODIMM CL11 ..... Kingston 1.35V
Will this work?

What is the model of the memory module that is CURRENTLY installed?

You can download CPU-Z and look on the SPD tab to get the model of your current stick. You will need to select the stick from the drop down menu at the top left on the SPD tab for it's specifications to be displayed.

Best supported speed for your laptop is 1333MHz. While 1600MHz may under-clock and operate at 1333MHz. It is best to go for the PC3-10600 memory spec

Also, if you are not running 64bit windows, you will be limited to 4GB of memory.
